So with this card, it's a big difference? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127746

I only ask because it's $200 more. I may end up adding the RAM and the GPU.

Yes and no. For the same price, you can get 2 GTX 760's or almost 2 GTX 770's.

I know I'm getting the RAM regardless though, today or next month. I say this because I've ran into issue in the past. I have a tendency to be working on a video, with photoshop open as well. Then abruptly get invited to play competitive matches. I have 16GB of RAM on this laptop, and run into this issue by playing older games like L4D2.

I just ordered it, with the 780.. I'm so nervous! It was close to 2k, but that's also including a gaming headset.

Again, it doesn't matter if it's all in one kit. The ram has no bearing when determing dual channel or not. As long as you get the same timings and speed it doesn't matter.

I made sure it was :thumbsups

I'm so excited for this! I spent around the same for this laptop, so I'm going to return it soon(using the exchange policy) and pay off that credit card that was used. So it was pretty much a wash, lol.

Why add extra hassle since he doesn't have ram already. Might as well get it all in the same kit at once.

Well no, if its all in the same kit for the same or less money whatever, but I was really just clarifying that it doesn't need to be in case some random internet person came along, read that, and got the wrong idea. We arent the only ones who will see this wink.gif

Everything will be here before the weekend. So I didn't think of this before, but what about the thermal compound? Or do coolers come with that as well?
