Hooray! I won't loath Server 2012 R2 anymore! biggrin.gif

EDIT: Well, actually... Will this make it into 2012 R2, does anyone know? Or are we going to have to wait for ~2016?

Server 2012 = Windows 8
Server 2012 R2 = Windows 8.1

I have a hunch that the resource usage is exactly the same. Aero is still enabled behind the scenes, the graphics card is painting the windows, it uses the exact same amount of memory on the graphics card and stuff like that. The only difference is visual, the window backgrounds not set to be see-through.

I am dealing with it, thank you. It's called I'm not using Windows 8. I'm perfectly fine on the OS that I'm using now. You act like I have no choice but to deal with it and move on. Nothing could be further from the truth. Perhaps you just don't enjoy people expressing their "petty" complaints with the OS that your using.

To you sir, I say "deal with it". wink.gif

Having a significant UI change forced on you through the greed of a corporation that legitimately impacts established workflow and comfort is a LEGITIMATE feedback. Just because some people (a very SMALL minority) does not share this frustration does NOT make it crying or any less legitimate. If anything, the people who complained are the TRUE WORTH of consumers because they forced CHANGE and more importantly, were able to allow OPTIONS for EVERYONE. I find people who complain about consumers who voice their feedback and protest to be far inferior as consumers to the people who provide legitimate feedback, stand up for their feedback, and keep at it until change is forced.

It's now possible to have Aero Glass back in Windows 8.1 using some 3rd-party tool. Unfortunately, MS has removed Aero Glass from the source code completely, otherwise Resource Hacker would have been plenty useful utility.

I don't care either way, broseph. You can waste your time complaining about an OS you hate yet can't stop discussing. Good on ya.

As I was annoyed with windows 8 I can not pass the opportunity to complain one more time.

I don't like Metro.
I don't like the new flat UI.
I want the old start menu back, no red squares in it please.

Until then, I'll stick with win7pro.

And before someone will call me "slow minded old timer" I would like to mention that I am pretty proficient in android and I had no problems adapting to it.

Yeah, it's kind of what we do around here ya know? Discuss things we like, things we don't like. Kind of like a public forum. Perhaps you've heard of the those. lol..
