AMD FX9590 - Page 2

If your H100i is doing its job properly, there's no way that a 9590 should reach 80C running at stock, no matter what load you put on it. Check the waterblock and make sure it's making full contact with the CPU, and make sure the fan on the radiator is functioning properly.

The 9590 runs hot, but an H100i is more than up to the task of keeping one cool.

Right i have just slotted a AMD FX-4350 4-Core Processor (125W, AM3+, 12MB Cache, 4300MHz)

Into the machine and running a stress test and everything is fine CPU temp is 38c and the test has been running a while now.

Does this mean there was/is something wrong with the CPU?? or it's settings in the bios??

Yup i have reseated it several times, fans seem to be running fine. Could i have a faulty 9590?? Or am i just an idiot??

No it seems like your bios ahs an option where it will shut down when it reaches a certain temp and with your 9590 that temps is being reached. Try re-seating the 9590 an give it a go. Temps should not be that high with the 9590.

So its shutting down even with the 4350? I believe it could be a PSU problem. What PSU are you using?

Go into the bios and check the 12v,5v,3v volts and report back here.

Right

3V - +3.336

5V - 5.014

12V - +12.097

I have also just started to notice when i open up speed fan the CPU usage is jumping up and down between 20% and 40% and i'm not doing anything.

I have also had on occasions for a while had an "VCORE" warning message pop up at the bottom right of my screen then it disappears.
