Shall i boot it and run memtest over night??
Try single sticks with prime. I am hoping you swap and one of them will let you run prime for more then 10 minutes. After about 15-30 of prime you should be close to your max temps.

May I suggest something? I had major stability issues with the Corsair link software that conflicted with my SSD. The instability was minor at first, but somehow got to the point where windows was having trouble posting. I eventually, tracked down the issues to a conflict with the SSD firmware and the corsair link sofware. I updated the firmware and the problem was solved. So maybe try uninstalling corsair link software?

Right stripped it down and rebuilt it all. Left both sides off and left all 3 external Hard Drives and Printer disconnected.

Ran p95 for around 20mins with fans on max and it sat at about 36c.

Closed it all down put sides on and plugged everything back in

i.e External Hard Drives plus printer and low and behold immediately locked up on me.

I have disconnected External USB connections one by one, i have both sides on and fans at performance CPU temp is at 15c ish. I also have every USB connected on the back bar one, but i am assuming it's cos i have the fans set a little higher, rather than the one External Hard Drive disconnected thats keeping the machine running.

Do you(as somebody said) think it's a lack of air flow through the PC????

Could be. Wow. Now that's creepy. But sometimes taking things a part and putting them back together fix things. Good Morning. Its 8am here, where I stay smile.gif

Good morning, i have had 2 hours sleep lol. I am up for work now and tired.

I am going to have to have a serious look at the air flow problem in this machine, as it does appear to be an issue, although it's worked fine for several weeks before all this.

Thanks for all the help everyone gave and keeping me company while i tried to sort it.

Lets hope it's finally sorted.

Now that you've figured out what was locking things up we can have a better look at the actual temps. You said in an earlier post after 20 minutes you were at 36. That's a good temp but you had the doors off corredt? You'll just have to try with the doors on and see what the difference is.

It's only 7AM here for me now, you fellas must be across the pond?

Yup i am in the UK. Actually i was wrong with my initial theory, as i continued to get lock ups today.

So i changed the PSU again and i still had lock ups, i have now changed the SSD which has been in this machine since early march with another smaller(in storage size) SSD and i have run P95 for 40mins using windows 8.1(which corsair link software doesn't like) so i am unable to change fan speeds.

CPU 0 - 40.3

CPU 0 package 40.3

Underneath that setting is

CPU 47

Motherboard 30

The temps do look good and you're not getting the lockups now??

Check corsair's site and see if they have an update for the soft.
