AMD FX9590 - Page 12

Tried many times to get it working with 8.1 and looking at forums, there are many having the same issues on 8.1. Anyway i have windows 8 on my SSD.

Right for the update i ran P95 for 45mins i have no put MY original 1500 watt PSU back in and i am currently running another test to be as close to 100% certain that it is the SSD drive

It's a Samung 840EVO 500gig.

I got it from amazon and i am in the process of asking for a replacement.

No lock ups, but just running another test with ALL my original components, minus the SSD i have always tested with and had in the PC when i was having these awful lock ups.

Got my original board RAM CPU cooler motherboard GPU etc etc and so far the test is looking good after the first 10 mins.

Temps at 39 and thats with the Fan not set at half their speeds.

16 mins temps at around 40, if i could access the fan speeds, that would drop drastically.

Good sounds like you're working this out Damian. Things like that are hard to diagnose, especially form remote. You need a rep for good detective work!

I'll have to add you a rep point when I get home. This machine at work loses some functionality with the website. Certain things just don't work and I guess that's one of them.

Well i was glad of all the help, i really appreciate the time and effort you/everyone gives. Especially as i was very depressed with it all last night, felt like giving up on it all.

Anyhow i am about certain it's the SSD Drive, which is going back to amazon.

Hey no problem Damian. Like I said that's good work on your part. You should be proud of yourself for that and not giving up. It's only a machine !
The rep button is the easiest way to say thnks and honestly I was running out of ideas for your situation. But we all learn every day

You may just want to check and see if the ssd just needs a firmware update before the trouble of exchanging SSD
post #118 of 138
Sorry to note if this has already been stated, in a rush didnt get to read all the posts.

I had this Exact same issue on an overclocked 8350 not long ago, it was caused by overclocking my memory too high, not sure if it was a vrm overheating from the IMC or what not, but putting the memory back to 1866 mhz (instead of 2133) resolved the issue. Memory was 1.65v RipjawZ 4x4gb sticks, 9-11-10-27-2133.

It was a buzzing sound in the background of the analog onboard sound output, try lowering the clock speed of your memory and have the rated timings for that particular speed and check voltages.

I lowered my overclock at the same time, so not sure if its related as I had the same overclocks before upgrading my ram from 1600mhz corsair vengeance sticks, lowered it due to being summer at the time.

Not sure if you saw my original post, but I had similar problems you are describing and a firmware update to my SSD fixed the issues.

Think i am almost on top it now, thanks.

Need to put back everything into the machine as i haven't done a test with everything fully connected i.e External Drive and DVD Drives, plus a sound card.

So that is my next step, finger crossed it will run for a similar time of 45mins, which i have been achieving on a few tests today.

Thanks again.
