Its a distortion, it will happen on every monitor in existence. Its really the application FOV fault as I understand it.

It is due to an attempt at projecting what would be spherical optics onto a 2D plane.

answer credit to wikipedia.

Normally I would agree with above post in saying its down to the FOV. However it could be something else and a video of you recording the monitor would probably help a lot.
It is probably more or less what Xinoxide said but I think just to be safe you should.

Upload it to YouTube and then link it here.
Could you try recording the actual monitor too?

Well if we were to view that video, it will probably look different on our screen/size then on your monitor.

You should try setting a higher FOV, a too low FOV will make objects look wide when close by.

Try changing the resolution to something else and then back again. I've seen this issue on BF4 before, it seems to be some sort of bug with the game itself rather than a monitor issue. Remember that if you're able to show this on YouTube without videoing the monitor itself (which you are) then it has nothing to do with the monitor specifically.

In my previous comment i posted about a too low FOV. But after some googling in could be a too high FOV.

If you look at the Virtual FOV on the picture, and imagine a Too high FOV, the center of the image gets compressed, and the edges get stretched. Seems to be what you are experiencing.
Like displaying a curved image on a flat monitor.

Have you actually even experimented with different FOV's, or because you used 90 on your old monitor you set it to that?
