Pretty damn impressive frame time consistency in Mantel. Definitely need a larger sample of Mantle games to see if this will be a trend though.

there is no difference between framepacingmethod 1 and 2 when I type it in during game. I donno whether ur supposed to reboot the game but he sure doesnt reboot his and he sees a difference. with my CF290 and fx 8000 I see no difference in fps when I switch between the modes, other than the fact that since the patch I feel like the game is running in mud, It's really fast framerate, but it's not the same as it was before the 31.03 patch.

I wonder why is it that he typed the method 2 3 times in a row, it didn't stick the first time? I will try again tomorrow.

he inputs the command 3 times as if it didn't switch.

anyway, I read what johan repi from dice said on twitter so I believe him, but I feel like it has some problems switching.

Mantle does provide a smoother experience but to get a line so solid is amazing and yet seems something else is in play.

My gut reaction is some sort of frame rate limiter which, jumps up/down depending on the demand the game is putting on the gpu at that point.

Wasn't there this bulletpoint that said Mantle could reduce power consumption by no longer rendering extra frames in mobile (for Kaveri) but that was only if it was specifically set that way.
I'm not sure...


PCper are using the unreleased 14.4 beta so it might be something new.
