[GS] Diablo III: Reaper of Souls Sells Over 2.7 Million Copies. - Page 2

I wouldn't say I hated the game when it launched, but it definitely didn't live up to my own personal hype. I got plenty of time out of it though so I never really felt ripped. That said, until like six weeks ago I hadn't touched D3 in probably a year and a half.

I'm now back and super hooked, as are all my friends. The loot no longer sucks, the legendaries are better than yellows as they should be, and you don't have to grind for 98 hours just to find one. Definitely been enjoying my time with the revamped D3 and ROS.

I cant will myself to reinstall. I just cant do it. All my hope and dreams were crushed by the failure we know as D3, at least at launch. I cannot buy the DLC, let alone install. ITS JUST TOO HARD!

The adventure mode is cool, helps keep you from doing the same route over and over, however the most optimal way to farm this is on Normal mode for speed, not much of a challenge.

Not that I'm a 'trader' but they made almost everything Account bound, so they've killed any real form of trading, which I thought was a staple of D2.

I played the original D3, bought almost all the upgrades from the AH, so this is WAYYY more fun.

The higher the difficulty, the better the stats are on gear. So you could farm Normal for Legendaries, they just wont be as good as what you can find in Torment 6.

You're missing out then. The game has done a complete 180.

Not true at all. Difficulty does not effect quality of gear.

I can't fault you for that, but I reinstalled the game when Loot 2.0 came out (after not playing it since about 6 weeks after the game first came out) and convinced one of my friends to do it as well despite his even deeper apprehension and we've been having a ton of fun. I suggest you do the same, just start a brand new character of any class and have fun. Or pick up any of your old characters, regear them a bit with the help of the blacksmith and go from there.
You can play any difficulty level with a character of any level now, except Torment which is only accessible if you have a character at level 60+ (but once you have one such character, all your characters can access Torment regardless of their level), the loot drops are a lot better, and both auction houses are gone.

At lv70 there is gear that only drops in Torment.

There are legendaries and set items that can only drop in the Torment difficulties, but that's it.

You made it sound as if you get better quality drops in Torment, which is not true at all.

$60 for original game, 4 acts
Update recently before the expansion, an actual Diablo 3 game from Blizzard
$40 expansion and 1 act

Not buying the expansion until the price drops. I don't support pay to play models, like WoW, but payins 2/3 of the original game for only 25% more content? $15 DLC at best.

Hence my clarifying response.
