I like the game a lot , but why is it so insanely hard when you group with people? Why do builds have to have so much? Then in a team your build is totally useless

Like any aRPG, there are builds that are better at somethings than others. It really depends on what direction you are going in. CI for example, is only unbalanced if you are able to afford BiS ES gear and strut around with 10K+ ES. As far as the Chaos armor, are you referring to Death's Oath? With CI + Death's Oath, you are left with 1HP and missing a huge chunk of ES due to DO being an armor chest piece. That is a pretty high risk build without godly gear in all your other slots TBH. I personally group with people all the time and don't have much difficulty. It honestly depends on which builds you pair up with though and to that end you are right about some builds being useless, but how is that different from any coop aRPG? Some builds are just compatible with other specific builds. Sucks when it happens, but you just play a different build or join a different party. When you say builds have to have so much, do you mean gear? If so, there needs to be a recognition between early game build, mid game build, and end game build. Every RPG game is ultimately dependent on loot to round out and complete a build idea. For example, lets take a look at my level 83 summoner. Until I could use my summoner gear, she ran a physical DPS spectral throw build to facerape early mobs. Later on, I switched to my summoner gear and used a combination of traps, totems, and minions. After I collected most of my end game gear through trading, I finally switched over to a pure summoner build using only minions. Builds evolve honestly, depending on gear. You cannot simply expect to jump into the end game builds that a lot of guides have.

I'm kind of with him on this. Game fluidity is bad, desync is a constant companion, combat has zero impact feeling. The biggest problem with POE is that it's not fun killing things. The passive tree is fine (if a bit unbalanced towards certain classes, at least as of right after launch), the skill gem system is admittedly a bit clunky at first until you amass enough to give a character a decent start, the orb currency is awesome, and the itemization is reasonably good.

POE's biggest problem (in my opinion) is that it's only fun in town. Great theorycrafting, lots of decisions about how to build and gear the character, but once you leave town, the game feels horrid. The graphics themselves are fine, but the combat feels about as good as Hellgate: London. Sounds are muddled and muted (or exaggerated in some cases), impacts feel no different than misses except the health bars don't move (and thanks to the desync sometimes they don't move right away anyway), and monsters teleport all over the place.

I've taken three characters to Merciless. I liked a lot of aspects of the game. It has a lot of potential, but the core of the game is just bad. It's just not fun to go out and punch monsters in the face, or zap them with electricity, or whatever your character is set up for. And if that part isn't fun, all the cool builds and gear in the world really aren't going to fix it.

De-sync is a problem, but that's why the command /oos exists. You quickly become able to identify when de-sync is about to occur and enter the command. What I suggest is to try playing a few games with me and see if the gameplay for my build is still too slow for me because it seems pretty quick for me. Now I will readily admit it is not as fluid and mass genocide as D3's which is one of the few positive things the game had going for it at the beginning, though I vividly remember de-syncing being a big, big issue for D3 as well until they finally brought in more servers. I guess no one remember the push for Offline mode or LAN mode during that time of server issues. If you want to give it a shot again and take a look at the fluidity of a game closer to end build, let me know and I will be more than happy to run some maps with you.

you skill are rewarded. and you can continue and also get money with it.

these are my exact thoughts on the matter. granted, we are a bit starved for isometric rpgs and both lol and dota 2 are pvp games not pve but...i just don't see the appeal of left-clicking and getting random loot. i imagine the appeal is something like a slot machine. it's mindlessly addictive, but ultimately there's really nothing there.

there's not even depth in terms of builds/gear as only 1 or 2 builds are viable for each class.

There are far more than 1-2 viable builds for each class now. The Witch Doctor alone has 4-5 builds and those 4-5 builds can differ between runes and passives. There is something available no matter your play style. I personally am using a no pet, AoE poison nuke build right now. Another clan WD is using a pet heavy, single target cold build. I am also gathering gear to try out a high dps DoT build.

totally different games. You're looking for some kind of pseudo monetary compensation in return, you might as well say why play any pay to play game when you can grind for it in a free to play.

Also because Diablo 3 has no content like a story, daily quests, and levels /s. it's totally the same thing as a MOBA.

why play call of duty or battlefield when it doesnt give you anything back. just play any of the free to play games like world of tanks, because, what's the point?

it's a very narrow view of why people play games.

not sure where you're getting your information, have you even played the latest content? My wizard build is nothing like my old critical mass build. At all. I've come across a lot more varied builds now.

My biggest issue with RoS is my biggest issue with D3. The graphics make me feel like I'm back in 2002, playing WC3 and thinking "These graphics are crap.". SC2 graphics are better than D3 graphics when SC2 came out earlier.

Storyline, I can forgive. Diablo has never been Shakespeare. They've worked on itemization and making the classes fun. They even gave players stats back in RoS. Now if only they worked on the wireframes and polygon counts, this game would be decent.

Are you playing on low settings? With everything maxed out, it looks pretty nice. It was meant to look cartoonish, but by no means does it look like WC3.

Maxed, SweetFX injected, and Lightboosted on an OC'ed video card, running 120 fps in most cases (capped at that for Lightboost). The problem is with the models and polygon counts themselves.
