Only $40 more actually. The Athlon build was $505 when you got rid of the rebates, though prices have changed by now. In competition with CTRL's price range:

$563 without MIRs. Could knock off $10 with a good 400W PSU but that is cutting it a bit close for my liking.

Both of these builds are going for a mild to moderate OC. The cooler and boards can be removed/replaced with cheap crap if we don't want to go for that.

Your prices are still including mail-in rebates on the boards and PSU Awsan.

My bad smile.gif fixed

I guess your FX-6300 build is the best bang for your bucks build, as by adding the TX3 you need to change the Motherboard to the Gigabyte one as the G43 will render the cooler useless with no VRM cooler on the board and for extra 7 dollars you can get the 1TB HDD which was a nice touch.

All in all Kudos to you sir and congrats on that 15$ biggrin.gif

Also FYI, Battlefield 4 performs considerably better with high speed ram (a little weird as most games have little to no benefit from faster ram). So if BF4 is your main concern, I'd splurge a little for faster Ram.

Hopefully the power supply should still be able to support this build.
Tough call between the FX rig and the Athlon. I like the Intel rig, but its not really going to perform that much better, certainly not $60 better.

I've actually got a Athlon build as well, but due to family issues I didn't have the time to post it.

I still think the FX build is better, but only because the current FM2+ selection on Newegg is REALLY lackluster(I swear it was better 2 weeks ago).

I could have gone with a 750K to save $10, but honestly? Richland clocks a lot better for overclocking.
