I didn't know what the rating was for the PS4 when I gave my advice. Still, if it is getting hot then he should figure out what is going on because $400 is a lot to waste if his PS4 breaks. I still say to find a voltage converter. This one is only $28 and even if the PS4 was rated for that high of an outlet, it's still a good idea to bring it down if it is generating that much heat.

I finally decided to play safe and buy the voltage transformer. Thanks for all the advice people smile.gif

If that doesn't work, then I honestly don't know what to tell you because it could be a large number of things from the power cord, to the PSU, to the floor that the console sits on.
