Which GTX 780TI to get?

Thread Starter
Requirements: 2550x1440, preferred max settings on every game, good OC potential
Current rig: CPU: 3770k @ 4.5, GTX 680 4GB 1250/4000

I was looking at the Classified, Superclocked, MSI 3Gaming, Asus DC II

Which one can you recommend?

Max settings meaning AA maxed with min 60 FPS
No single card can get max settings on 1920x1080 let alone 2550x1440.
Although you could try one of the Non-reference cards like the Classified but there are no guarantees, and hope with good cooling and high voltage you can can some great overclocks to game on.
you should check out the 780ti owners club.

I think most people will recommend the classified as it has the ability to add more volts than the other cards for Overclocking. However many reference and other cards can hit >1250mhz on stock bios if you get a good chip.

Can't go wrong with a Classified but if you plan on keeping the card for a while, and at 1440P I would probably go for a 6GB when it is ready.

In the same boat as the OP, when can we expect the 6gb variant? and more importantly how much?

I have the EVGA SC ACX the thing runs extremely cold when i game never breaching 65C at full load with all case fans at lowest voltage. Dead silent too. I happened to get a really good overclocking card and can do 100mhz + without any voltage increase, mind you i havent tried any higher and i just threw that clock on there to see if it would be stable, and it was biggrin.gif

Out of the cards available right now, I would definitely recommend the classified since it has the highest OC potential but maxwell is supposedly being release within the next couple of months so if you can wait I would definitely hold out until then.

Most demanding game(s) I've played is still Metro 2033/Last Light....

the KPE OC'ed can max out all the games I've played at 1080p (60hz), but at 1440p you definitely won't be maxing all the games out there with a single GPU.
