[Build Log] HAF 932 Black & Blue Edition

This so much isn't a build log per se, as it more of a relocation to a new home from a HAF 922. Cable sleeving and excellent cable management is my primary goal. I never did a build log on any of my other rigs I've built so here goes. I've been keeping a log of actual work days on some of the things I have done so far. I'll post multiple days initially to where I'm at now and each with a few pics from each day starting with day one. Let me know what you all think. Like dislike etc....

So I received my case today and can now begin on my build. First off, cable management. I removed the unnecessary cables from the connector from behind the front panel which I won't need. The audio cable and the e-sata ones. It'll help with the clutter. My objective is to have the backside, which isn't seen that often, to be as neat and tidy as the main compartment.
I decided as a trial run to sleeve all the mobo connectors from the front panel in a single sleeve just to see how it would look. While it does look clean the ends might be difficult to connect if I heat shrink-ed the ends. Looks like I'll redo it in groups of two and heat shrink those. Now to wait for my blue sleeving.

Day 2

I didn't do a whole lot today. Just sleeved the four case fans in black. I didn't think it took all that long. The tricky party was holding the sleeving tight while heating up the heat shrink tube.
A couple 140mm fans, a LED lighting strip and a molex to 4 fan headers arrive tomorrow.

Day 3

Received more parts today. 2 140mm Aerocool Sharks, 3pin 4 out molex extender, 2 meter led lighting kit, and Royal blue paracord. Decided to wait until I got the rest of the sleeving and will continue when it arrives.

Day 4

I finally got the sleeving I was waiting for, the small for most wires and the large for my SATA cables. It took a bit but I did finally sleeve all the front panel wires that connect to the motherboard, four total. I'm still debating on whether or not to sleeve the two USBS ones and the 1394 one. Those are already in a heavy black coating.
Did some fiddling around with how I want the wires to go. Nothing is set in stone at this point.

Day 5

I decided after doing the sleeving and some preliminary layout of the cables that I wasn't satisfied with how it looked. Damn OCN and youtube! So I drilled out the rivets and removed the optical and hard drive cages and the back input panel and the screens from the front and the PSU mounting plates. After cleaning and prepping the pieces of any snares and oils I set out and primed them with 3 light coats.

Day 7

So today I applied the color to all my parts. Three light coats of anodized blue. So now that those have been painted it's the waiting game to let the paint cure, seven days says the can, before I'll apply the finishing touches of the clear coat. My cables I ordered still haven't arrived. Apparently there was a snafu on their end and they haven't been shipped out.

Day 8

Well they have refunded my money for the cables I ordered. So I just ordered 6 Round Black SATA cables. So hopefully they arrive sometime this week. Nothing new on the painting end other than cleaning up my makeshift painting area in the garage and re-hanging the parts for my own enjoyment.

Day 9

My SATA cables finally arrived and was able to finally sleeve those. With what I had left of sleeving material, I went ahead and sleeved the rest of the wires that go to the front panel. Their won't be much of any updates as all that awaits is the clear coat on the parts but I still have a day to wait for the paint to cure on those. And then it will be waiting some more. Patience is a virtue.

Day 10

I decided to cut a hole in the mobo tray for the 24 pic connector to be closer than the stock openings. Pulled some measurements and pulled out the trusty dremel and got that taken care of.
The clear coat went on as I was suspecting and with out issue. And patiently waited. Now onto the riveting and reassembly.

That's as far as I got today.
