H80 Stock Fan Replacement Suggestions

Thread Starter
Okay so just as the title says I am looking for H80 Stock Fan Replacements/Solutions. I am looking for Fans that have the best performance. Sound & Cost do not matter to me at all whatsoever. With that being said, I would also appreciate some fan suggestions that perform well and are quiet as well. (A good noise to performance ratio in other words.) The following is very important to me:

1.) I need the fans to be able to plug into my H80 Pump (JUST LIKE THE STOCK FANS THAT COME WITH THE H80)

2.) I want to be able to control the fans' speed via the button on the pump.

3.) I want the fans to fit my H80 radiator without any mods

So yah please tell me which fans would perform the best giving me the best idle and load temps that also meet the above criteria.

Wouldn't mind also seeing some fan suggestions that are a good mix of performance and low sound like I stated above as well. Once again performance is more important to me than noise level as stated above.

Thank you all so much feels good to be back on overclock.net missed you all biggrin.gif

umm looks like a regular 3 pin fan that is probably voltage controlled through the corsair pump thing. Quick confirmation from you if that's the case, look at your fan if it has 3 wires or 4. If it has 3, I would get a gentle typhoon AP-14. Really good radiator fan. If you can find the ap-15 buy that but they are super hard to come by atm.

I don't know what fans come with H80, but fans from H80i can spin up to 2500rpm and is optimized for static pressure.

These aren't the prettiest looking fans on the market, neither the cheapest but they have some crazy performance/noise ratio. They are one of the best performing fans out there

Cost may not matter, but these fans are brilliant and would allow you to spend money on stuff that can make even more of a difference - such as a shroud to eliminate the deadzone behind the bearing. These are designed for radiators and work brilliantly on the higher FPI radiators too.

Thank you all for the replies all great suggestions.

Goudreu:

I believe they are in fact 3 pin fans but if I remember correctly the pump has support for 4 pin fans as well.

Also will the fans you guys suggested above be able to plug into my pump and be controlled via the fan speed button on my pump?

Thank you guys.

All the suggested fans will be able to change speed according to the integrated controller, as it is a simple voltage controller that is capable of controlling both PWM (4 pin) and non PWM (3 pin) fans.

On the subject of fans again, if money really is no issue, try and get some SanAce 120s, they're the best of the best, but £20/$30 each.

Thanks a bunch Luke I'm really liking the San ace on paper, very impressed. Also that fan roundup you linked me to is excellent and informative in general.

Okay good to know about the pump fan control. I figured that was the case just didn't want to order fans be all excited for them to come in and use them only to be let down. Haha! I'm sure we've all been there at least once.

If anyone knows of any other high performance fans for my h80 I'm still very open to suggestions smile.gif

Okay so I found another fan that seems like it will outperform even the San ace fans. Link below. Please tell me your thoughts on these fans boys. smile.gif

No doubt they'll outperform the SanAce fans, but they'll also deafen you at 3800+ rpm. If you're going to go for loud, super powerful fans, the delta fans are probably your best bet, they have better blades for static pressure.
