The fact that 6GB is showing up in Winbloze is really weird to me. That's what is really throwing a clustermonkeywrench into this diagnoses. If it doesn't show up in BIOS, but PART of it shows up -sort of- in the OS- then you have a special kind of problem that requires the assistance of a Catholic Priest.

Are you talking about those guys from Gigabyte RMA department?

I have not re-install my OS. You think keeping the previous install of OS is also affecting the BIOS reading of the memory? That will be a PITA to re-install and end up no result at all rolleyes.gif

What mobo were you using before? I had to re-install windows after getting a new mobo otherwise my ram timings would never get recognized properly within windows.

It's starting to look that way, but the whole thing seems fishy. Feel like we must be missing something.

Set rank and channel interleave to "auto." If it still is not recognized, disabled all interleaving and see if you can get 2 DIMMs to show up. Try ganged and unganged. (shouldn't matter but hey, lets throw everything at it). Make sure that there aren't any discrepancies in settings between the 2 memory channels, everything needs to match. I had a problem on my previous BIOStar board (I'd call it a glitch).. when memory speeds/timings were set to manual, it would "default" to changing 1 of the timings on 1 of the channels to like "42" or something, meanwhile, it would leave the other channel on auto. This would cause weird issues if I didn't go in there and manually force both channels to match.

I second the idea to check the timings. Set it manually according to the SPD of the ram timings.

This is DRAM Configuration at bios. I have tried switching from Unganged to Ganged, disabled Channel and Bank Interleaving and DDR3 Timing Items to Manual.

Intel(R) IPP JPEG encoder [7.0.1015] - Jan 5 2011;

What else should i try?

The DDR Timings are still on auto. You see DDR3 Timing Items, set that to manual and set the timings according to the default timings of your ram sticks.
