Your read speeds are normal but your writes are pretty low. Sequential and 4K 64 thread writes are about half of what they should be.

Which SATA port are you connected to and what controller?

Which storage controller are you plugged into, Intel, Marvell etc.

If you don't know then just link me to your motherboard and tell me specifically which port you are plugged into.

You're plugged into the Intel SATA 3 port so you should be good to go.

The lower performance isn't a huge issue, especially the 4K 64 thread write speed which really doesn't affect anything.

Your reads are fine, that's the important bit.

Where did you manage to buy so old SSD.It is SSD with lower quality NAND,called ansynchronized NAND.So that result is top what you can get.You need to bench with ATTO benchmark then you can see advertised speeds. But what tweark said you 4k are OK and that's more important thing.

what are you basing his speeds on? AS SSD is showing an average score for that drive drive normally get from what I see. Everything looks fine.

Yes, that is a SandForce based (controller) SSD with asynchronous NAND as Igor said, which is slower than synchronous NAND. Also since the SandForce controller is configured to compress compressible data, and AS SSD only uses non-compressible data for its testing, the write speeds will be slower. That is completely normal for SandForce based SSDs when tested with AS SSD, nothing can be done to change or "fix" the results.

twerk, look at the AS SSD screenshot, it shows "iaStor", which is the Intel AHCI/RAID driver. That tells us it's an Intel board in AHCI mode.

Run the ATTO benchmark for another "opinion" on that SSD's performance.

Sean, I miss your other avatars... Miss being the keyword... sigh... drool.gif
