FrozenCPU isn't stocking the GT AP-15 anymore =( - Page 6

TBH, I don't really care who markets the GT.
Swiftech, or EK, or Bob Across The Street.
As long as GT's still make it onto the market, that's all I really care about.

I sent them an email on behalf of my company to see what they'll quote for 100, 200, 500 and 1000 of their D1225C12B5AZ-00 fans, which are the AP15s. They, of course, do the 5400 rpm versions of the gentle typhoon with the black blades - they do advertise the availability to customise their products, so I might also inquire about the possibility of putting the black blades on instead - I know many would prefer that.

Trust me, when you order from China regularly you'll realise that a minimum order quantity (MOQ) is more of a guideline than a concrete thing - I bought 50 two wire 1000 rpm fans for $1.70 each, they had an MOQ of 2000 pieces.

Black bladed ap-15's. Yes please!

Keep in mind that the black blades are shaped differently.
Thinner blades with a thin rim connecting the blades together.
So you might loose performance by using the black blades.....if they can fit on the AP-15.

Yes, an interesting conundrum...

On another note, my Chinese contact got in touch regarding the sourcing of San Ace 91212s - he can source the 1950rpm models for about $7-$11 each shipped, interesting when you consider these are nearly as good/as good as/better than GTs.

^ Pretty much this. I'm a budget fan guy, but I can admit who's king.

Apparently EK is working on a fan they're calling the "GT Killer" which should be interesting.

If you add GT AP-45s to the group buy count me in. If they send you back a reasonable MOQ you should set up a thread. Even if people fall through and don't pay the for the fans they ordered whoevers in charge of the order could easily turn them over and make a profit for themselves. XD

if that's the case then nevermind.

I wouldn't get in on an other group buy, I already got all my fan needs, and than some.
But I think a hard to get fan like the AP-45 would have more success.
Or perhaps the AP-15, wbich is also getting harder to get.

But the San Ace can be easily found elsewhere. Not that it's a good or bad fan, just that it's already easily available.

That was one of the reasons for the #cough# success #cough# of the AP-45 group buy. At the time, you could not procure these anywhere else, but the group buy.
