I believe this type of comparison has been created. However, I am not sure what system they are testing with since it's a compilation of quite a handful of cards.

I love to see some testing.
I can put in my 2 cents.780Ti SLI run did not record correct clocks with 3d mark but it is a test just the same.Clocks on boost speed were higher. Both runs on same machine. Not trying to confuse anyone LOL

R9 290 Crossfire run. CPU 4600Mhz 3770K

780Ti Sli run. Cpu 4800 Mhz 3770k

This is just to see if the idea is worth attempting, the actual thread would be better defined.
The scores would be from various benchmarks, like fire strike, either valley or other benchmarks.
I actually be interested to see the difference between stock GPU and CPU to see how much the performance gain actually gives you.
e) mainly because I know people buy components and still don't over-clock

I talked with him about it this topic, may have him help me do a few things if this sparks more interest.

Deafboy has completed a round of testing with stock clocks and max OC and posted.

Overall, the 290x Lightning with a 1200 mhz core and 300 mhz memory overclock was slightly slower than Kingpin in it's out of the box setup.

The Kingpin was running 1215 mhz out of the box with stock memory.

Ideas for information needed by submissions so far:
Username
GPU
Core-clock
Memory-clock
Firestrike and/or Heaven and/or Heaven score
CPU model
CPU clock
Motherboard
Ram
Operating system.

These would be verified by using GPU-Z and CPU-Z and screenshots of benchmark scores.

Currently debating on separating or combining results based on CPU's
Screenshots will be needed to verify results,
Pictures of the rigs
