HERE are some great shots taken by a member over at ocuk

If you see the bottom image that is a good comparison to your I:SS screenshot dark and shadowy..in any case has I:SS got a certain art style? The image you've shown looks soft.

pretty good? Really sharp details, excellent char model imo. I have more...

And that's just some of Crysis 3, have you even played it or metro last light?

Also hang on a minute there...did you just tell me, what I think about games and why I play them?

I played through Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite and just completed Metro Last light and currently I am playing Far Cry 3, and so far the thing I remember most and talk about most are the cool stories...(although yes I maxed them all out at 2560x1440)

Edit: Technically though screenshots count for not alot, I think you'd be better off comparing games side by side in front of you because even youtube videos are compressed.

The PC has great hardware, but devs don't take advantage of that at all, so it ends up being useless.

That last part may be true but that still doesn't explain why you think one would need a GTX 780 to run a PS4 level game. Just simply isn't the case.

Also (and as a PC gamer I was) I decided to go after consoles because I started to hate how I was with gaming. I started to care much MUCH more about the graphics of the games than about having fun with the game. That's why I was constantly upgrading my hardware to max out the games and get all the eye candy. In the past, I would have bought a game just to see how it looked on my PC, even when I had no intentions in playing it. And whether you like it or not, that's how most PC gamers are; they care more about the graphics than about the game itself.

Cool story bro? I, as a PC gamer, care about graphics and *GASP!* game play as well! Never once in my 10+ years as a PC gamer have I once thought, "I wanna go to consoles because I don't like PC graphics!" (or something to that degree as I don't quite get what you mean to begin with).

As far as I'm concerned the PS4 is a closed PC with a custom OS.

Also pure performance means little compared to architecture and implementation, the GTX 780 has LESS GLOPS than the 7970, yet gets higher FPS.

720p is perfectly fine for a console, especially for 3rd person perspectives

The impact of less detail is also mitigated when in motion, which if it is that much smoother, will be all the more worthwhile. And on the flip-side, the higher resolution will make the stuttering all that much worse.

of course its all moot if 720p hardly saves any performance and still ends up a slideshow

Older engine MMO games such as Wow and Wot tend to demand not that much CPU power overall, but they demand almost all of it from a single thread.

Wow that's weird. I can barely achieve that framerate with my i7 2600K + 590GTX (which is FAR superior than a 670) at 720p resolution (not even 1080p lol). I will proove you that, let me record a video.

Not at all, never said (or insinuate) he was lying. I just want to prove him my GTX590 can barely handle the game at 720p.

You have an issue somewhere then. My 3570K and 7970 can run the game at max settings with FXAA at 1080p just fine.
