Hey guys, I know each chip has its own personality, but I would like to know what the average voltages to run a chip at 4.8ghz are, if there is such a thing. Thanks a lot biggrin.gif

My chip, I've only tried 4.5Ghz and it won't boot, but that's because my voltage is so low (at least, I believe so).

So I'm at 4.4GHz @ 1.192V (CPU-Z). I believe my BIOS I have it at 1.2V or 1.21V

I have a 3570k and it requires 1.375v (cpu-z) for 4.8ghz. Make sure you have pll overvoltage enabled for 4.8 and up otherwise you may not be stable.

try boosting it up to around 1.3 and see if that works for you, thats a little high up for 4.5 but at least you'll be able to boot

OK turns out I did have pll enabled, but I was massively shorting the voltages on the processor... 1.35 is not enough. Completely derailing the thread though, any tips on improving heat displacement on an nh-d14? Am running so close to tjmax I can almost smell the burning silicon. I'm already delidded so yeah halp

I can play BF4 with my 3770k @ 4.8ghz with 1.255v. It's not a bad chip.

I'm sitting at 4.5GHz with ~1.150-1.170V (depending on load-line calibration). I haven't really tried for higher (no need tongue.gif).
