If you read the Robocop build log I did put a lot of heart and passion into that build and the "big space" inside was there because I replaced the back wall, riveted a new one and cut out the drive-bays etc..

James I wasnt trying to insult you in the least everyone knows your quality and builds and respects you to the highest level, you did MOD your case. and yes I have said a trillion times it is clearly one of the most impressive builds on the internet! (still loved your first one the most wink.gif)

You do amazing work, and you did deserve to win, everything you touch is unreal please dont take it out of context. everyone seems to be missing the point so Ill just drop it

Just change the MOTM to ROTM,the attitude you cant have a 'stock' but well built rig win is pretty lame.
Especially as the modding scene was about creating a usable case out of the (at the time) crap offerings available. This is no longer the case, most cases are very well appointed with features which limits the amount of modding you need to do

BTW,Kiers build was not a mod in the slightest,it was a scratch build, designed by Nate@E22,Most if not all the panel work was run off by CNC by Nate,Kier 'just' screwed it together.

Thread cleaned.

Guys we are all for discussing what we like and perhaps don't like about a build, but let's keep it positive in here.

This is what I got for the motm First build and no build log was done, But now i know for next time.thumb.gif

ASUS Maximus VI GENE
Intel's i5-4670k set to 4.1
Sapphire's R9 270x 4Gb
Liquid cooled

Mods :
Bottom of case removed so i may have RAD and no air flow restrictions. Acrylic bent to provide base as well as clearance, and a acrylic back plate for the GPU. cables sleeved first time doing a lot of this stuff hope it shows well.

Temps: F/C
about 70/21
idle: CPU 80/27 GPU 78/26
after playing Titan fall ~1 hour max temps CPU 123/51 GPU 113/45

Maybe I was being ignorant by stating my view - I think the gun on the top made me think that this rig was built by someone in their teens. - Sorry thumb.gif
