Sure. Maybe I'll stop by this summer and buy the radiator I want from you while I'm in town tongue.gif

Here's my 2 cents. We're fortunate to have SVC.com 5 minutes away from where I work. They don't have a showroom, but you can order online & pick up in store (I suppose that's the next best thing).

I've made several purchases from them & it's been great. Now, if they were to have a showroom, it would improve the value of the company immensely, especially if they had 1 or 2 sales people that were available to answer questions. For some reason, even though they have several employees, I don't see that happening in the near future.

So, given that you're asking about something that is a step above what we have here, I would say "Hellz Yea" it would be an awesome outlet.

But is it within the budget scope of his business model?

How would the added costs affect his bottom line?

How difficult will it be to be competitive, considering his volumes will be so small initially?

His margins will be minimal early on & he will need to do the calculations to determine long-term product / vendor relationship maturity.

It's hard to say how the manufacturers will respond to such a small customer. If they turn him down, he'll have to buy from resellers, which would defeat the whole purpose.

Start small & work your way up would be the only way to go.

I'm thinking of adding a web store front that looks alot like NewEgg (I find they have a good filter engine) to the B&M and maybe even offer a special code for OCN members. wink.gif

Not certain if my response is going to forward your data, I live 10minutes from Performance PCs, so to me they are a brick and mortar store, order online, they call you on the phone when its time to pick up, drive over bring cash, talk to Hank and the guys a little, drive home with water cooling toys.

The nearest Microcenter around here is in the next state, so glad we have PPCS nearby and I think XOxide.com is down in south Florida, but I never order anything from them...

Microcenter has many, and PPC's will let you look at their wares if you're nearby.
