I use a fingertip grip.

Is the build quality really that bad? I think I'll skip it completely then. Even though the shape looks appealing to me, I don't think I'd like average build quality coupled with firmware issues. Wouldn't be interested in that at all.

Sounds awesome. That would be great if it's released sooner rather than later. I'd definitely consider trying it. How does Roccat stack up in terms of build quality, firmware support etc.? I assume they're a step above Steelseries and Razer?

Well.... cant say too much about it(simply no knowledge). As for build quality depend on model. higher ends products like kone should be comparable to SS/Razer. as for firmware support cant say anything - never had an issue or mouse for long enough to confirm it. Saying they are step above its bit much. but they comparable.

The Rival's build quality is indeed pretty lame.

Thanks. Which brands generally have the best build quality?

I would say Mionix and Logitech. No experience with CM or Corsair yet.

Worst are easily Razer as #1 worst and SteelSeries following close behind.

There's public and subjective opinion, though the gist of build quality is rather linear among competitive products targeting a specific price range.

Well, I've only been talking about high end mice in this thread, so I don't get why you bought price range into it.

What's your opinion on the brands in regards to build quality? I'm only referring to their high end offerings.

When this is released I will have the ultimate weapon. I will buy a dozen of them to make sure I never run out. wink.gif

I've been through probably over a dozen mice in 24 months looking for a mouse that meets my requirements. Small hand with claw grip style with great tracking. The huge majority of mice I've tried are to big and uncomfortable.

With the Roccat Pure and Roccat Pure Optical I found the perfect size mouse with the features I want. With the Corsair M45 I found a great sensor (the 3310) but I found the M45 to be a tad to wide.

The Roccat Kone Pure Millitary will join the two features togeather, HEAVEN!

My mouse pads have factored into the tracking precision. I found that each mouse preforms differently on the two pads I've tried. The razer speedpad and the roccat sense. Honestly, I feel I might be happy with any of the Roccat Kone Pures if I found the right mouse pad for it. Right now however I'm liking the combo of my Speedpad and M45.

Good Luck in your search.
