ATH-AD700 went foobar, looking for new headphones.

Thread Starter
I am looking for new headphones, since my ATH-AD700 headphones died, which I adored. I would be interested in something different.

the budget is around 100-150$. I would prefer open headphones that fully cover the ears. it would be necessary for them to go as low as possible (such as 5hz). My main application for these headphone would be music and general usage, more specifically various types of metal and other neighboring riffs. I would highly appreciate any suggestions, questions, or concerns.

If you truly adore them why not repair them?

Honestly if you loved your ATH-AD700's I would recommend buy the new version (ATH-AD700X) for the $130-150 range. But if it is at all possible for you to bump your budget a bit I would recommend the AKG K701/Q701 for $199. I own a pair (after being a previous owner of a pair of ATH-AD500) and I absolutely love them. wink.gif
