Hi long time since ive been on here. Well its supposed to be a e4300 but cpuid is showing it up as this. Im not good with grammar so pictures speak louder than words. So far ive tried uninstalling the cpu drivers but to no avail, rollback aint an option. Heres the spec of the computer http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/pc/t9408.htm slow aint it but moneys tight and this just barely works for me lol.

well if I type x3079 in the intel site search box it gives me this:
http://ark.intel.com/products/28024/Intel-Core2-Duo-Processor-E4300-2M-Cache-1_80-GHz-800-MHz-FSB

so I would say that maybe some models of that cpu come as a x3079.
on intels site under downloads its software that will identify your cpu,
I suggest you download and run it. but I am almost positive you have a e4300.

Strange it doesn't work for me well thanks anyway. It doesn't effect performance so ill just ignore it for now but i still wonder why all of a sudden it went from an E4300 in cpuid to X3079 .
