332.21 VS 337.50 benchmarks - Page 2

Meh. Probably not, I tested all the games I currently have installed with both drivers and couldn't demonstrate any mesasurable improvement except when running through cities in AC4 its now very smooth instead of framerate dropping out, although checking more controlled scenes I measured no increase in framerate.

Rig in sig all games tested with high/max settings and AA if applicable. I really expected to see gains in AC4 and Thief...I'm pretty disappointed with these miracle drivers.

if i remember correctly..these drivers aren't meant to increase the Max FPS but to improve the Min FPS dips/general gaming experience caused by CPU-bottlenecks on some DX11 titles

Hello fellow overclokers,

First of all I have switched to windows 8.1 and installed the 337.5 drivers. My minimum and maximum fps got a huge boost.

I have tested only battlefield 4 but it does not matter since it's the game I play the most. In flood zone and Zavod311 my minimum fps jumped from 45 to 85 fps.

I have an i7 920 oced 3.2ghz and a gtx 780 classified under water.

However ... I experience a weird problem the driver crashes sometimes with a dx error... don't know where it comes from frown.gif.

Is any of you guys experience driver crash with windows 8.1 update 1?

Thanks

In theory it would improve min&max. I did notice its doing something much better as I said with AC4, the framerate is still unstable in the larger cities but for instance when you go to a synchronize point and synchronize the framereate used to tank and it was dropping frames..that no longer happens and framerate is solid at 60.

Got a extra 10 frames on BF4 on my setup

I'm amazed at how great bf4 runs with this driver... Steady fps around 55-75 with my oc gtx670... Ultra graphics and 120% res scale

If it's the device_driver_error_hung one, then that indicates an unstable oc 90% of the time. It's not uncommon for an overclock to lose its stability between drivers and different os revisions etc.
