I need a big fan of Fans to help!

Thread Starter
I know this is an air-cooling thread, but my question pertains to it anyways.

I am running an 8350 comfortably 24/7 at 4.65ghz at 1.37v with 52*c max in gaming, stable as a rock.

I want to push it higher, I have the voltage room, and a bit of thermal room, although not really wink.gif

I am using an h80i, and the stock fans. Can anyone recommend me a pair of 120mm fans that can help me with temps? Static pressure I believe? Im not looking for huge gains, but to be able to push it to 4.7 4.8 within those temps (I can with good voltage, but my case needs to be open, and window needs to be open, not ideal for a clean 24/7 operation)

Any suggestions?

Noctua NFP12 or Corsair AF or SP 120. Those are really quality fans, especially for moving air through a radiator. They come with a price tag, though.

Not AF series obviously because they are made for air flow which does not work for radiators. SP series means static presure which is made for radiators and they are just good fans. Using them in rig myself.

Also as someone mention earlier Noctua's are good also take a look to Scythe GT AP-15. They are not best looking fans in the world but they are very good for static presure.

Something similar, anyhow, the SP120L, running at up to 2700 rpm. (holy****-get-that-the-****-away-from-me kind of speeds puke.gif)

You can get somewhat or marginally better performance with better fans at the same noise levels, but for substantial increases—which don't even guarantee being able to hit the higher frequencies—you're going to need really high fan speeds.

Or, if the OP isn't running the stock fans at max, which is very possible, then run them higher for more headroom. Though perhaps the rad fans are outpacing case airflow if opening the side panel helps. Maybe need more intake when the fans really ramp up.
