I put this in this section as I don't know the real problem but it is graphics related.

I have a 2GB Gigabyte 7850, I have a crappy 22 inch monitor that runs at 1680 x 1050 frown.gif.

I used to run a VGA cable from my monitor to a VGA to DVI adapter and then into the GPU. I never had any problems!

UNTIL... I bought a DVI cable, My VGA cable went dodgy and I did what I should have a long time ago anyway and bough a DVI cable. But since then I can not run my monitor at its full resolution, lines appear and all sorts of crazy things happen on screen. I now have to run at 1440 x 900 which I just can not stand!

Is there a fix for this problem or can anyone give any comments? Thank you
