Corsair MM400

Anyone got this? I wanted to give this a try because of it's low friction (and low price), apparently lower friction than my current destructor 2. Any feedback? thanks :-)

What mouse do you use?

I bought a MM400 because I read it would work well with my Kone XTD and the laser sensor it uses, but it doesn't work at all.

I know Metal is a big advocate of the MM400. I've never had one, personally. Looks solid, though.

Bump! I'd also love to hear more input on this pad. From what I've read, this thing is low friction heaven for a mouse. Anyone know how well an FK 2014 would track on it?

Some optical mice get pretty dicey on a hard pad in my experience. I'm not sure how the Zowie low LOD will react to the hard pad.

Yep, I've had the MM400.

It worked great with both a DA 3.5G and a G400 (both have some broken buttons but the sensors still work so I keep them around for comparison). The G400 is a 3090 so I would assume the FK would track well on it.

I'm really surprised to hear the XTD won't track on it very well, it's the same sensor architecture as the ADNS-9500 in the mouse I was using at the time with the pad, which was the Sensei. Not only is it the slickest mouse surface I have ever used, but tracking with VSCEL sensors was epic, very noticeably less acceleration than cloth especially at low sensitivities. Great pad for laser mice and 3090s. It's not so great with a 3310 though, the LOD skyrockets but they do track properly on it. I haven't tried the FK on the pad either personally.

The pad also has a grain to it which doesn't allow you to use quite as low an LOD on mice with very low LOD, there are small parts of the pad where you lose tracking over that small <1 mm area since there are microbumps around it that will track but not some area between them if that makes sense. The minimum LOD on a Sensei wouldn't track well on it but upping it a couple notches it was perfect. The microbump texture makes it very smooth though because it reduces the surface area in contact with the mouse feet at any one time. So you can see how smooth this is, here was my video review on this pad:

I was surprised too, lol. And disappointed because the pad itself is fantastic. Maybe my XTD is just weird, heh. Tracks great on my QcK, though.

Might give it another whirl for giggles when my Corsair M45 ($40, yeah buddy) gets here since I do love the pad and I don't lift my mouse when gaming. Can't imagine it being better than the QcK, though. I just love the glide of the MM400.

It should work, works on my other 3090 mouse, but at the same time I don't know how it would work with the lower LOD lens on the Zowies.

Yes, if anyone has any idea how it is with the Zowie FK, would love to hear. I have an idea your 2014 would be near identical tracking :-)

Destructor 2 is good with this mouse, but it does have a lot of friction I think. I had original destructor, destructor 2 glides more but definately more friction. Rather than them selling that whole 'perfect balance' thing, I think lower friction is better, especially for a zowie fk cause the feet are 0.45 mm and destructor 2 eats at them quite quickly.
