I wouldn't be so sure. Maybe they just started saving the better gpus from the start for the lightnings.

Suspiciously better in some reviews than 780 Ti x 2. It shouldn't be.

I suspect they were inspired by NVIDIA's idea on nvlink and made a faster CF interconnect for it.

Because come to think of it, nvlink is nothing but faster SLI (when on gaming). GPUs still have independent vrams, they still lock on different pci slots, it's the link between them that's better.

nope side port, 5000 was supposed to have it but was removed.

Don't know about 4k benchmarks but my Ti's both get to 1200mhz and smoke the 295x2 at 1440p

They do run a little louder and a little hotter so I applaud AMD for that

Has anyone seen the 290x's and 290's going for around $400 on ebay?!?

I'm going to Ebay next gen to avoid the price bullet!!
so with an Antec HCG 900 psu I could run this beast?
So 2 retail custom 290x cards would run around $1200, add to that the custom water cooling (including two blocks, radiator, pump, etc.) that may run another generous $200...plus the $99 markup for being the prime, flagship product and exclusivity of being the fastest single card, yaddi yadda...the MSRP for 295x2 is certainly not a bargain, but not out of the ordinary either given the prices

What really pisses me off is the fact that people keep comparing this with the Titan Z...

The Nvidia card is aimed (segmented) to be a compute card, if you want to game on it go ahead, but if I was looking for any SLI/CF gaming rig I'd be going for 2/3/4x 780Tis or 290xs in a big case and with their own waterblocks. IMO there is really no point in the companies making dual GPU cards for 250w chips because you'd get better performance and price by having two separate cards...

msrp sucks thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif, but understandable. Still a long way before i upgrade so enough time to depreciate smile.gif (hopefully no more outside interference to appreciate the price rolleyes.gif).

It is a Geforce Titan Z. So it will get compared to gaming cards.
