How about this build or should I go with intel build? - Page 4

So many comments, so little time.

An FX-6300, especially once overclocked, will play 95% of games at about the same FPS the competition does.
Drop down on your PSU. 750W is a little overkill.
CLC looks pretty, but I'd suggest getting a Hyper 212 Evo.

Put the money you save towards a better mobo.

Also, if you decide to go the Intel route, maybe wait a little while for the Haswell refresh.

my question to you is, are you going to play games that is built on the unreal engine?

if the answer is yes then my answer will be NO, go with intel.

h100i is so popular

this is real time test

custom loop water cooling is pretty much out of the question for value, if you're an enthusiast you can look into it and spend hundreds on it if you want

it's only $100, or you mean as in linus video for using extra fans

couple fans are not very expensive

It's good PSU, but $110? Awful lot. A 4670k+770 will have gaming power consumption of like 300w, so it's quite wasteful if there are good PSU's at the $50-60 range. It seems quite expensive vs even many ~550-650w (appropriate for sli770+4670k) for differences that i don't think so many people honestly care about, most of the examples here are still better than the psu's in 95+% of gaming builds

I looked into a thread in tomshardware forum and most of the relies said for SLI and overclock >> 850W is the one

and gold is because more reliable and high effeciency

quality is good, but if you're paying like $20 more, i'l question it a little

actually i don't know in real time what's the difference between Gold and Bronze, i just search and look for the best and appropriate device for my interests and of course within my budget

what you mean by unreal engine?
I'd get a 8320 and a 280x, ditch the h100i and get a hyper 212+

i was attracted to the FX-6300 for while and it's over, it was a crush wink.gif

for the PSU i read in tomshardware that 850 is good for OC and SLI

if not h100i, then Noctua is the next option

yea, actually i change my mind to the 4670k and MSI G-45 gaming motherboard
post #39 of 216
I like my FX 6300 but you are paying as much on cooling as you are for the cpu, and the 970 isn't the best chipset.
