SeaSonic M12ii 750W, still a good choice?

Hello,

I plan on running the fx 8350 clocked at 4.7~5ghz @ 1.48v + and a r9 280x overclocked to the max(that i can achieve smilingsmiley.gif)

I have an xspc ex240 kit, to which I plan on upgrading its pump to the d5 version or the MCP655.

Rest of the components is in the sig.

The m12ii 750w is the cheapest among those available in my country.
HX750/RM750/GX II is roughly $25~30 more

Also, I'm not sure if I need 750w. Will the TX650 v2 be enough?

The tx 650v2 will be enough.

The seasonic 750 is still a good PSU.

If it happens to not be enough (which I doubt) then grab a 750.

Thanks for your reply.

For a single r9 280x the tx 650 v2 should be enough, but the Fx 8350 consumes a lot power at those clocks, that's why I'm unsure.

P.S. - Antec HCG 750 is similarly priced, would it be a better choice?

Either or will work. I have had seasonic and antec both had no issues. You will be good.

650W should cover it, even at those overclocks, but you may as well get the M12II for the extra room as both CPU and GPU can top out over 300W with high enough overclocks. It's the same design as the TX V2 but modular. The new Antec HCG model with the LED fan and modular cables is also the same design; the previous version is a little bit worse.
