Considering upgrading GPU to r9 280x

I've loved my Sapphire 7870XT since I got a good, stable card that overclocked well. I've recently begun to think of upgrading to a better card as I may be adding additional monitors in the near future. So, I'm trying to wade through the performance of the non-reference coolers (i.e. Sapphire Vapor-X/Toxic) and prices to find the best price/performance/temps/overclocking cards to choose from. I'm currently looking at the Sapphire Vapor-X r9 280x, but I don't want to pull the trigger until I get a little more feedback from the forum that knows

So, what I'm asking: Is the Sapphire Vapor-X r9 280x a good buy for performance and overclocking? I'm not looking for any massive overclocking potential, but if it gets a 10% increase with stable results I would be happy. I'm also only running on a single 1080p monitor atm, but look to upgrade to more monitors soon and want to be ready.

Any ideas?

This is the model I am looking at purchasing. 359.99, which is only $10.00 more than the Dual-X version.

Decided to get a Gigabyte Windforce r9 290 from a user here on OCN for cheap.
