Air Carry-On SFF: Tips & Suggestions?

I'll be traveling overseas often in the next year with my Silverstone SG05. Any suggestions and tips, I prefer to carry it on with me, I feel I may have a challenge getting through TSA since I have a custom water-cooled setup.

I've even considered draining the loop and removing the Swiftech Apogee Drive II, reservoir, and radiator and packing it separately to avoid the "What the freak is this moment..." biggrin.gif

#beastMODE Lan Rig:

Intel i7 4770k @ 4.5ghz (Swiftech Water-Cooled)
Asus Maximus Impact VI Motherboard
Nvidia GTX 780Ti
Corsair 8gb Vengeance Ram LP
Crucial M500 128gb SSD M.2 NGFF
Western Digital Black 750GB 7200rpm HDD
Silverstone Sugo SG05 Case
Swiftech Apogee Drive II
Swiftech 120mm XP Radiator
Swiftech MicroRev 2
Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP29 x 2 @ 3000rpm controlled by Asus FanXpert

I would just install a handle on the SG09. It would be in my lap the whole time.

I brought my cm elite 120 in its own box on the plane and it barely fit under the seat in front of me. It was actually bigger than the actual allowed size which is why it wouldn't fit in the overhead compartment.

As for WC I would drain it just in case. I wonder what would happen if you had a closed loop though.

That's a novel idea, i was thinking much more inconspicuous though.

This is going to be a challenge lol! My thoughts exactly to drain the loop. The last thing i would want is for TSA to questions me why I have radiators and tubes connected to an electronic device... oh crap! biggrin.gif

That is pretty bad ass. It looked small but then I noticed the last picture on the Amazon site. Damn that is big. stun.gif

If I were in his shoes I would use my old DFI LanParty straps and keep it on my lap the whole trip. whistle.gif
