Help me buy a new gaming mouse.......

A bit of a backstory.....

Every gaming mouse I have owned finally ended up having the infamous "double-click issue" some day or the other. Owned three gaming mice so far:

-Logitech G7 (Wireless)
-Razer Imperator
-Razer Deathadder(2013)

Brought my Razer DA sometime in May last year and the double-click issue started happening last month and now it has just become unacceptable, even for normal tasks. I really love the DA. Fits perfectly, accurate sensor, good click feedback and scrolling and the perfect weight, but alas its time to change frown.gif

Its not that I go overboard with my mouse during gaming sessions, but tapping on the LMB and holding the RMB for long periods of time is fairly common since I mainly play a lot of FPS. All the above mice I owned are great no doubt, but I just can't afford to change mice every 8 months or so. (Funny how the warranty they give for mice is 6 months and it dies within the next 2-3 months of use. biggrin.gif)

So....for my new mice, I have narrowed down to 2 options.

-Zowie EC
-Logitech G400

The zowie, because it uses Huano switches. Which supposedly lasts longer the Omron switches used in most mice (thats what I hear) and the only downside being that the clicks are a bit harder.

And, the G400 because its quite reliable, atleast according to the forums.

I want a mice which can last around 2 years or more. Please suggest me a rugged mice which won't die on me soon. Doesn't matter what company it is. Should be suitable for palm grip and have a good sensor. I don't mind even if its 2000dpi max, but I want it to be accurate. Any thoughts on the above 2 mice I mentioned?

Thanks!

What country do you live in that only gives 6 months warranty on mice? As far as I know, Razer should have a minimum of 1 year warranty, so you should still be under warranty with it. Have you tried putting in a warranty claim? If you can't do if from the store you purchased it from, try Razer themselves.

As for recommendations - I've got a Logitech G5 and I've had it for about 5 years and it still works quite well. The G400 should be very similar in build quality as it's the same shape but with a better sensor. I'm not a huge fan of the shape though. I'm looking at buying one or two of the newer mice cause I want a more accurate up to date sensor. Build quality is also a big factor to me. Logitech also has 3 year warranty here in Australia, so that is another good thing about Logitech mice.

What is your price budget? You could also take a look at the new Mionix mice - Avior 7000 and NAOS 7000, which supposedly have pretty good build quality.

The Mionix mice are really good in build quality. No mouse is unfortunately immune to this, I've had a Logitech MX518 that ended up double clicking after just 1 year. You never really know for sure, only way is to get a good warranty.

Thanks for the input guys!

I guess I will go for a Zowie EC1........The shape is very similar to my deathadder. The Mionix is way overpriced in here.

About the omron switches.......Is there a Japanese and a Chinese version?

I do not know if you have made up your mind yet, but one vote for the G400 (non 's' variant). thumb.gif

How about the question I asked about warranty? Shouldn't your Razer mouse have one year warranty? Can't you get warranty on it?

JP omrons are just sent to japan to be sorted, nothing more

There the D2FC F 7N (10/20mil. clicks before failure. 10m is more common) You can find it in ebay/amazon, and after receiving, ask help of a pro electrician to solder the new switches in
