Qnix QX2710 evo II.

should run you roughly $300~ and 90% do 120hz just fine, and usually if they wont a different cable can help you get there.

I have a 27 inch overlord tempest monitor 1440p @ 120hz and it comes with headaches......patching drivers, horizontal flickers at 120hz (not every monitor does 120hz) and humming noise from the panel.

I recently purchased an ASUS 24 inch 144hz @1080p monitor for about $250 for gaming and really enjoy it. Fast response time and native 144hz.

On the other hand I prefer 1440p but prefer the smoothness that comes from the ASUS as oppose to the overlord tempest.

ASUS is coming with a native 1440p 120hz monitor soon but at a price of $800 which is a bit steep for best bang/bucks.

If I had to choose a 120/144Hz monitor right now I would go for the Benq XL2420Z (or XL2720Z) because of the PWM free feature.

Or wait for the g-sync version of it.
