GPU upgrade dilemma

I'm currently upgrading my rig 1 by 1 since I can't afford upgrading it as a whole. I have a couple of questions:

1. Are the voltages of Sapphire R9 270X and R9 270 can be fiddled with? Cause the reviews say they can't, but the reviews are outdated so I wanted to know if it's possible now.

2. Are the memory chips of Sapphire R7 265 mostly Hynix? They overclock pretty good. Anyone with Elpida chips care to post?

3. Is the Sapphire R7 265 guaranteed to overclock above 1100+ MHz core and 1500+ MHz memory clock? Since they are pretty much the same as 7850s?

4. Do you think it's worth to gamble buying the R7 265 ones hoping that they will overclock pretty good? Since seeing some reviews they're mostly on par/near close with R9 270 that is overclocked since they don't overclock well.

Sapphire R9 270X Dual-X - $200

Sapphire R9 270 Dual-X - $185

Sapphire R7 265 Dual-X - $170

Couple of screenshots showing Sapphire R9 270's overclocking

What do you think?

No experince with those series cards so I can't help you there, but I do watch the GPU market out of wishful thinking^^

It looks like there's a healthy stock of used 290x's available on eBay and other websites for around $360. Heck of a deal considering it comes close to a Titan in some bench marks.

280X's seem to be going for about $200 used, it's making me seriously considering an upgrade.

It might be worth checking out if you are considering an upgrade, you would be in a buyer's market now that GPU mining has become so difficult.

Of course I read earlier that the 295x is coming out and is water cooled and can be yours for merely $1500 ^^
