is 760 watts enough for this build?

Thread Starter
Good afternoon OCN,

I am slowly building my dream rig and as of the moment I only have my case (Carbide Series Air 540) and SSD (Samsun 840 EVO 256GB) (I'd like to do a full custom loop for the first time and include headroom for all my components). I plan on either getting an 8350, 4670K or 4770K along with a nice mid-high end card (maybe a 280x or 770) and allowing myself to SLI/CF down the road (most likely will run a 240 and/or a 360 radiator if allowed, haven't delved into Water cooling enough to give a definite answer). So my question is if 760 Watts 80+ Platinum is enough? Im looking @ getting http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-151-120&nm_mc=EMC-GD040914&cm_mmc=EMC-GD040914-_-index-_-Item-_-17-151-120

IMO thats actually a bit overkill in terms of output. You'll be fine.

The fully modular Cooler Master V series and the XFX Black Edition are based on the same PSU platform but they are often much cheaper so no reason to spend that much more
