They're advertising the $99 combo with
* AMD Sempron 3850 1.3GHz Socket FS1b 25W Quad-Core Desktop Processor AMD Radeon HD 8280
* ASRock AM1B-ITX AM1 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Mini ITX AMD Motherboard
* Cooler Master Elite 130 - Mini-ITX Computer Case with Mesh Front Panel and Water Cooling Support

Yeah, looks like it takes awhile for their system to start "Advertising" combo deals after you add them to your cart, so my post isn't relevant anymore since they're not showing up there.

This might be a good cooler, though one would have to make triangular parts to mount it to the two holes, but it should work. Got my build list done for my new surfing/light gaming/fileserver rig. thumb.gif

Actually, none of that answers my question. I should have been looking for a CPU-z shot rather than specs. All the specs out there seem to dance around the subject of AMD-Vi, but never come out and say what it actually has in it. AMD spec sheets are all rather poor with this info, but usually a third party will have something. However, none of my usual source have anything on these yet.

These just have the AMD-V...which doesn't count since all AMD CPUs have that.

CPU power? Ha! If it boots, it works. One of these quad-cores would be fine. Low clockspeed models would save power. You need SATA ports and RAID support (unless you're using software RAID), which this platform does not seem to have.

i figured that much. can i use TWO raid cards on each PCI slot? they should be 1x or 4x. doubt the bandwith would bottleneck, not sure tho if you can use two raid cards on one board. each raid card would be handling 4 mechanical hard drives.

Any word on OCing these? Even though the multiplier is locked, AMD said there would be RAM OCing to allow more than 1600mhz; I'm assuming this would be done with the FSB soooo, still hope?
