Currently using the SteelSeries QcK Mini. Works very well with my CM Storm Spawn (general use) and Mionix Naos 3200 (gaming).

Consistent texture and small enough which is great for people with high sensitivity mouse settings using claw grip/finger tip who don't lift.

I went back to the Puretrak Talent when I changed to the G502. Still love that pad.

Razer Goliathus Speed Extended XL. That's a supersized cloth pad.

I am still using the old version, the new one has an even better stitched frame.

It's great for mouse feet, even bad ones don't wear out. It's also soft to the ball of the hand.

I am not exactly playing low-sense all the time, I just like the feel of the "Speed" better than that of the more coarse "control" edition and frankly didn't find a difference in tracking of mice between the two.

I am looking for a new mouse mat. I have the Avior 7000 and my current mouse mat is getting old. Also my current pad has a little more grip than i would like with the Avior.

I've thought about a hard pad but I am not sure. I want something that is super fast and durable and tracks well. Any suggestions from you guys? Budget doesn't really matter but I don't want to spend a small fortune on a pad either.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

If size is not an issue, the Puretrak Talent is basically unbeatable for what you just described. I don't recommend hard mats for the Avior, it is not very consistent with how well it works on certain mats.

I've never tried it but it seems that the Roccat Taito is highly praised as a very fast pad if you don't want something as big as the Talent. I literally NEED the Talent, my sensitivity is ridiculous (70cm/360).

As much as the size of the Talent is great, the build quality of the pad is lacking. The rubber backing is very irregular and feels bumpy on fast large swipes.
I've asked other users and they all confirmed their pads are alike, it's not an isolated problem with few batches.
Edges were slightly frayed out of the box as well.
Most important it gets sticky with sweat, adding tons of static friction, specially to mice with wide feet.
Combined with it's lack of stopping, this makes for a pretty inaccurate pad.

@metal571 I play with a 45cm/360, I recently changed from a 42cm Hien to 32cm Qck for better control with my new feet. As much as it takes extra effort to pIay on a smaller pad, I actually find the added precision more useful than a bigger size, at least for CS. (btw qck+/heavy is only 3cm less in width than the talent, goliathus should be in that league as well)

I'm actually considering a func f-series 10 since I've read it's particularly good for micro movements. I just hope I can stop on it accurately! If it's more precise than the cloth pads I'll keep it's 38cm over a 45cm qck+ happily.

The Puretrak Talent is a massive pad. I generally play at 1800 DPI. Also I don't even have the space for that monster. What about the Puretrak Stealth? They advertise it as a smaller version of the regular mat but the surface looks different to me.

Well, 1800dpi means that you take ~1.067 inches to cross a 1920x1080 screen on the widest point side to side - why then would you need a 19" pad or even a 5" pad?

If you're using FPS, cm/180 or cm/360 is the better measure of sens, as "DPI" is arbitrary unless it's being used to move a mouse cursor across pixels with 1:1 settings (1 inch at 1920dpi = crossing a 1920 width screen)

I don't know about the stealth~
