What mouse pad are you currently using and why? - Page 8

I'm currently using the Steelseries SX.

Why? Because it is the smoothest and fastest mouse pad probably in existence. The glide, almost completely frictionless glide that is, is like no other pad I've seen or used. I have yet to find a mouse pad that even comes close to it and I'm kind of disappointed because I'm looking to replace it since its quite old and it has a few dings from over the years but there just isn't anything comparable that I can find.

Honestly if anyone knows of a ridiculously slick pad similar to the SX I would really like to know.

Never uses the SX, but since you want a fast smooth pad I recommend the Roccat Taito again.

Using a Roccat Taito mid 3mm and a func Surface XL. taito feels very comfy, the surface feels very fast moving. i get a little more control on the taito, so for FPS or other games that mice are used to aim, i use the taito. for mmo's and rts i use the func because i need more mouse speed.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll look into the Taito.

using cloth, because i couldn't find a big enough hardpad.
i like the surface of my steelseries 9HD, but it's simply too small for me.
i can't really go much smaller than the steelseries qck+ i'm using right now, but the only large hardpad i could find (qpad heaton) has been discontinued and is out of stock everywhere.

does anyone happen to know of another fairly large (length of about 35cm / 14") hardpad?
(preferable not aluminium since i've read alot of complaints about coating peeling off.)

I've had the same problem unfortunately, not really any large enough hard mats. I play at 70cm/360.

Even accel can somewhat be learned muscle memory wise as long as it's consistent.

Using a Puretrak Talent as well. Mainly because after reading on these forums alot of mice have some quirks here and there on some mousepads and the Puretrak Talent seems to be the "allrounder" of having the least issues while still being as close as possible to what I used to have.

A nice example would be the ROCCAT Savu, which tends to occasionally do a weird skip on some surfaces as if you hit the malfunction speed, even though it is more then high enough on this mouse. Using it on the Puretrak Talent has cured this issue for me.

Rocketfish Aluminum mouse board; one side is smooth for speed, the other side is textured for clarity. I bought it because I could get it for $12usd. Best mouse pad/board I've ever owned!

Everglide Titan fnatic edition, initially got it for my old DA 3G (1800DPI), but like the texture and glide on it, too bad its multi colored, and i cant seem to find a mousepad with the same kind of glide, resistance and durability (had it since 2006 or so)
