Upgrading my AVR, advice?

Thread Starter
It's about time I finally upgraded my aging audio receiver and I'm looking for some insight. I currently use a Denon AVR-1508 to power the following

Left/Right: Polk Monitor 65T
Center: Polk CS2 Center
Surround Left/Right: Pioneer bookshelf speakers (forgot the model)
Sub: A 10" powered sub (again, forgot model number)

I'm looking to be able to power my setup nicely, and for years to come. I don't necessarily need all the bells and whistles like AirPlay and DLNA support, but wouldn't complain if it came with the new receiver.

Now, what are my options for a good receiver in the $400-$600 range?

my personal preference would be the Yamaha RX-V777BT ($600~) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ILCS164

or the RX-V677 $500~

I have had a RX-V573 (2~yr old model) for awhile now and it has been perfect and most importantly (to me) the sound quality has been very good for an av receiver
