Bios Problem?

Thread Starter
Hello,

I have a system that uses a ASUS P9x79 LE Board. I have had it OC'd 4.5Ghz for about a 1 1/2 years.

I updated the bios to the latest and my OC has changed and I cant seem to get it OC'd at all now.

I was wondering if the update has caused the issue or is it just coincidence my processor went bad?

Can a BIOS update do that?

Can a Bios be brought back to an earlier revision?

Thanks

A bios update can cause overclocks to be unstable, You can bring the bios back to an earlier version. You just need to flash it again to the older version.

What are your computer specs anyway?
