Anyone seen if the X99 boards will have a M.2 ssd slot like X97? I think that and if DDR4 offers significant advantage will be the deciding factor for me.

What? None of the boards you have mentioned exist or are even having plans to exist.

No not X79 (or x97 for that matter oops) Z97 as in the new socket 1150 boards which I know for sure are going to have the M.2 ssd connection...I'm just burning to know if the X99 will also have it.

That is a big I have no clue. We still arent sure if they are going to base Haswell-e off the refresh chips or not. If they are then they will for sure, if not, thats a big maybe.

My thoughts were that even if they're not refresh based then I would think they could still provide the due to the new chipset being used. Guess it's a waiting game.
