wait until google glass kicks off. Then we have

Full Face height Mic and Cam
Smart TV's with Mic and Cam
Phones With front and rear Cam + Mic + thumbscan ID
Tablets with front and rear Cam + Mic
Consoles with Mic and Cam
Laptops with Cam and Mic
Some Desktops with Cam's and Mic
Outdoor and Indoor surveillance Cam and Mic on almost all street corners and private buildings

All locatable,Recordable and in true Running Man style Editable.. Frameable.

Ohh and with the internet of everything, why waste time pushing a screen to heat food in your microwave..voice recognition = Mic.

But of course there will never out of the future of millions of Agents be any thieves, bribers, perverts, stalkers, rapists or pedo's working for these organizations .. no Sir !

Tinfoilies were right and its going to be a constant battle to keep things safe and secure.

Someone tell Assange that his 15 minutes of fame were up a long time ago...and enjoy his life sentence in the Ecuadorian embassy...

Only if by free you mean free to get arrested as soon as he steps out of the embassy.

Because people said the exact same thing several years ago when many of us were trying to tell the world that the NSA was spying on us! Now look at where we are.....

Oh, and for the Lolz, but still to the point...........

Some of us were screaming about the NSA and the U.S. Government prior to 2008 even.....guess we were all just paranoid.

I believe that the NSA will exploit any hole that's there job I don't believe that the NSA built a hole into RH or Debian. The user base is too small to go through all that work.

Like you can go anywhere in the world without consequences right? take a stroll through colombia with white skin or somalia. You're not free either. I don't think hes too worried about his current position considering hes still releasing information and making headlines. That means hes comfortable with his situation. So yes he is free. He could just let everything die down, have visitors come in (many visitors and protesters wear those anonymous masks, and he gets visitors all the time), and slip right out straight to russia. People have escaped jails, i'm sure he can get around some weak British security

Not sure about debian but redhat is used by the government and military quite a bit, you should know that being in the military (unless you cite FM's for fun(plausible?)). Ever use a FBCB2? We used them all the time in our strykers, tocs, everywhere, they use redhat. Guess who is one of if not the top contributor to the linux kernel? Redhat.

Building a hole into Linux has proved overwhelmingly easy, as the 6+ year long recent GnuTLS security flaw has shown. Just because people can go through open source code doesn't mean they do, and even if somebody picks up on it (as happened with GnuTLS 6+ years ago), their report may get no traction and the security flaw persists.
