Batman Arkham Knight (i'm assuming), The Witcher 3, WatchDogs, are some. It will be interesting to see how the division turns out seeing that most Ubi PC titles are TWIMTBP or at least AC is.
I find Nvidia and "TWIMTBP" more a nuisance now and just kind of...sad.
Considering all these next gen games HAVE to be developed on AMD hardware (considering all consoles from this gen and the last are all ATI/AMD except for one) it's becoming more and more apparent that Nvidia is straight paying off people to use their stuff. Pretty pathetic IMO.
It's really irritating...not just as an AMD gamer but as a gamer over all. Instead of pushing technology and innovation by developing in house or pushing open source physics and graphical effects developers and publishers would rather have Nvidia come in, do all the work to put their stuff in the game, and pay money on top of it all!
I mean, considering the next-gen is AMD you know a game...especially newer ones...are NOT really "The Way it's Meant to Be Played" but more "The Way it's Meant to Be PAID".
And don't see this as me hating Nvidia...they do what they have to do to get that "one up" on AMD...I'm more or less hating on the developers and publishers that ALLOW them to do this.
Look at Crysis 3/CryEngine 3...it has full on cloth physics...something I don't see Physx having any part of (something Nvidia would lead you to believe can only be done using Physx it seems). Open source, in house, GPGPU, Direct Compute, OpenCL, Havok GPU/CPU...there are so many choices out there instead of being tied down to Nvidia all for what? Money.
So yeah...with Watch Dogs I SINCERELY hope that TXAA and HBAO+ are the ONLY Nvidia only things in the game. Those I don't care about and really wouldn't consider them "upgrades". I can say though that with things like Physx I'm getting sick of not being able to have that stuff in my games because of greedy dev's/pub's. It's also why I wait til games that use that stuff is on sale. I refuse to pay full price for a game when I can't use all the features that are in it because I don't subscribe to a certain brand.
At least AMD (for now at least!) is using more open source stuff...stuff that can be used by all. Let's just hope they continue to do so...
