Spoof hardware ID of wifi card?

Thread Starter
Anyone have any idea if this is possible?

I'm trying to get Intel's Widi working on my macbook air running bootcamp.

The macbook air has a Broadcom BCM4360 chip, while Intel's Widi officially supports the BCM4352. It's the exact same chip, just the BCM4352 supports one less spatial stream. If I could just get the installer to pass the hardware check, I'm sure it would work... Any ideas? Thanks

Hi,
did you ever get to do this? I want to try the same thing but haven't found a solution as yet posted anywhere on the net.
