I think my 4670K is causing BSOD's - Page 4

Well it didn't boot up properly. Like it'd ask me to select a boot drive at startup, couldn't choose one so I had to boot up into the bios then exit and reboot again.

Can you try the experiment I describe though? Disconnect all other drives except for the solid state drive. You don't have to disconnect any optical drives you have. After that, turn the computer on and try starting Windows.

OK just shut down, unplugged drives except for is drive and it works fine (didn't ask for boot drive) and actually booted a bit quicker.

Ok, now keep rebooting since it only SOMETIMES gives you that boot error. This can be a bit hard on one's patience, but make sure to allow Windows to fully start up before rebooting.

Just rebooted a couple more times to check. Yeah usually every second boot it asks to select a boot drive. So it looks like I've got a failing drive right?

Unfortunately, it seems so. So, now we must find it! Reconnect one of your drives and reboot several times just as you did. Start with the drive that you suspect maybe the culprit. If the first drive you reconnect doesn't do it, then disconnect that drive and try another. So, don't just keep adding them, but just reconnect drive, reboot a bunch of times, disconnect it, and reconnect another.

Good news: Windows still starts with only the solid state drive connected. So, the boot sector must be on your solid state drive!

It's a computer!
