Never had a problem with the overclock before, games never crashed and didn't get any artifacts. Down clocked them to 1130 and 1450, metro worked but was getting artifacts.
Sometimes, instability takes a while to show up. This is why an overclocked component must be stress-tested. Just using it normally isn't enough. You have to remember that when you overclock something, you're making huge changes to it. You're almost creating a new part, in a sense. So, just normal use is nowhere near good enough. It must be put through its paces, brought to its knees. You have to see if it's actually stable with your new settings before it can be used normally.
