what do you guys think about Tera?

as for diablo and games like Path of exile, I dont like it.

Tera is fun, and very pretty, but at least for me, I couldn't enjoy it until I turned off chat, it's mostly people talking about XXX/pervy stuff, which if you're into, you'll love it. If you're not though, turning the chat off, except for local and party/whisper/raid leaves you with a pretty enjoyable game.

RIFT is a lot of fun, plays like your standard wow-esque MMO, I'd say the boss fights and raids are more fun than WoW. You can group and raid with people on other shards, and it's very pretty on ultra settings. RIFT also has GMs that are very involved in the community, they chat with players every week in the game to get feedback, and help out new players.

what would u say is the major difference between tera and rift?

(taking out graphics, cuz they both have good enough graphics for me, and i never played WoW before, so comparing games to WoW wont help me understand)

also, which game has other "professions" ? like crafting, smithing, cooking, fishing, etc etc

They both have professions like you described, RIFT has a Dimension system that TERA doesn't have, it's extremely customizable player housing, you can pretty much create anything you want. TERA is more action oriented, you attack by clicking your mouse, and double tapping to roll out of the way. RIFT is more your classic, target an enemy and cast your ability.

I'm also not entirely sure how restrictive TERAs F2P model is.

In RIFT you can also get credits (what you pay real money for) with platinum (in-game money) by buying an item called REX from players. So if you farm enough platinum you can take advantage of the stuff you pay for, without paying (real money) for it.

I was looking for MMO as well but can't find one.
Playing BF4 and POE now..

The Main Problems in RIFT is their optimization
660 OC, 8GB RAM. i5-3470. 30-60 unstable fps and the enviorment is too dark, the spell effect is missing sometime. I had to restart the game to get back the effect.
I played RIFT for 2 months when it released. 2 years later, they are the same.

It's an MMO not a single player game or an FPS, getting 30-60 consistantly in an MMO with great graphics like that is great. There isn't a single MMO in existance, no, not even WOW, not even EQ. That gets 60 fps consistently especially in highly populated areas. They are simply keeping track and loading way too much information, way more than any game like Bioshock Infinite, or any other single player game.

Check into getting a Beta key for next weekend on Wildstar. Curse usually has a lot of keys and there are dozens of sites that offer them. Noi beta this weekend due to PAXEast, but thre are two more beta weekends before Open Beta and the game goes live for general public on June 3 (I preordered so I get a headstart starting May 31).

Yep. i understand... I got the same lag in ESO beta and Wildstar Alpha
But i got low fps even in 10v10 PVP(which wont happen in WOW). Rift is a good game, i just hope they can do better.

I Played Wildstar alpha a bit... i was hoping it is free to play but it is not happening :S

I have a feeling Wildstar will be F2P soon enough. And that doesn't mean I think it's going to fail, I just think that's how the market is moving. They'll probably adopt the whole, buy the game no sub/micro trans model. I've played the beta and it's fun, it just doesn't feel like a game most people would pay a sub for, I'd say it's worth it even with a sub though, it's like Disney Online.

I will play wildstar if its f2p, and only if it becomes f2p quick, instead of 7 years later like how every game is becoming.

tired of games starting off p2p and then later on switching to f2p 10 years later or something

I'm exact opposite. I refuse to play any f2p mmorpg. F2P means I'm either done with it or will never pick it up.
